Today. two more portraits of my good friend Jennifer, both taken using my Hasselblad 500C/M and 150 Zeiss Sonnar lens on Kodak Portra 400 film. Jennifer is capable of so many great expressions!
Great subject. I like the tone distribution, especially in somber expression, darks sandwiching in her lighter skin tones. Of course the background is nicely confused and non distracting. Good work. Makes me want to take my 500CM and 150 out for a spin once more!
When I was a teacher I’d take my Hasselblad and a Novatron 400WS system to school and take a picture of each of my fourth graders, print on Kodak Ektalure (I think?), tone in sepia, and apply Marshall’s Photo Oils. I’d give them the prints. I used that 150. I remember how sharp the eyes were, especially.
