Isolation Revisited

In a recent post I posted a Smartphone/Hipstamatic image of a man sitting on his own in a coffee shop in Ottawa. While there I took a film shot with a wide angle lens for a different view, still emphasizing the isolation.

Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré

On our recent vacation in Quebec City we checked out the shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré on a grey rainy day. These two images were originally taken using Kodak Ultramax 400 colour negative film, but I prefer them as black and white images.

Stark Light

I like the bright, stark light of early morning on a sunny day for photographs of buildings and empty streets. I took these three images recently in Hamilton, Ontario, early on a Saturday morning.

Early Morning Hamilton.

From early morning last Saturday in Hamilton. In order to get this angle I had to wait for a break in the traffic on the street and dart out for about 5 seconds to get the shot.
