Looking for a unique gift? Hand-tinted portraits have their own special charm, and because each one is hand done, no two are exactly the same! This technique goes back to the middle of the 19th century, before colour photography was available/practical.

I am now offering authentic hand-tinted portrait services. Here’s what you get:

Portrait session, either in studio or a location (indoor or outdoor) of your choice, shot using professional caliber medium format film cameras with black and white film.

A darkroom print on gallery quality Ilford Art 300 photographic paper, ranging in size from 5 x 7 inches to 16 x 20 inches. The print will be hand-tinted using Authentic Marshall Photo Oils, using techniques well over 100 years old!

High resolution digital scans of all images, on disk.
