A bit of a different approach to my Only Cafe Portrait project this time around. It was later in the day when a few of use got together, and the light was different. Still I like this image of my friend Lisa.
Recently I sat down with my friend, photographer and fellow Classic Camera Revival Podcast host Chrissie Wu for my Only Cafe Portrait Project. The light was a bit challenging that day but I am still happy with what we got.

A couple of weeks ago we had a very warm sunny Sunday, (at least by the standards of Toronto in March). That mean a lot of melting snow and ice, and reflections in the sunlight.
It’s been a rather jarring week. This image has symbolism for me, as I wonder what is behind the next door.

This week I had the pleasure of meeting up with my friend Elana Harte-O’Neill. She’s a smart, energized and very talented musician, and we had a great chat!!
As always for this project, the camera was my Sony A7ii and the lens was my vintage Helios 44.

With all coffee shops closed right now for eat-in here in Ontario because of the Omicron variant (and this is right decision), my Only Cafe Portrait Series is obviously paused. And so a new project, called Outside Looking In, where I take pictures of the interiors of closed restaurants, coffee shops and pubs, from the outside, looking through the glass.
