In Virgin Gorda we passed this stand of trees every day, and every day it caught my eye, as it seemed like a corridor in a cathedral. I took many pictures of it, and I think this is the one that best captures the impression it made on me. For this image I used my Mamiya medium format camera, 55 mm wide angle lens, and Ilford Delta 100 film.

I love that you’re working so much with black & white – takes me back to my early days of photography, wandering the streets of Montreal with my old Leica. B&W still resonates more with me than colour.

Thanks Dude! B & W is definitely my “mother tongue” when it comes to photography.

A very nice shot! There’s something magical about a tree-lined perspective shot. It takes our minds into a natural but highly organized space that’s very peaceful and settled: it’s a shot to meditate on.
