In a couple of hours I will be on a train to Frankfurt to catch a plane back to Toronto, so time for one more image of Cologne. I have crossed this bridge at least a dozen times this week, so it (and the cathedral in the mist) have become iconic for me. Photographs make the best souvenirs.

Nice! Very strong composition, with the vertical lines of the bridge’s arch pillars, the lamp-posts and the cathedral spires, contrasted with the converging perspective lines of the footpath and railing.
Speaking of souvenirs, it also reminds me of lots of places Katherine and I got to visit in Europe when we lived in France for several years. Still miss being there… but glad you’re on your way back, be good to see you again soon 🙂
