Inside the Cafe

Janice and I had breakfast in this cafe across the street from Notre Dame in Montreal on our recent trip. I would call this interior a glorious competition!

Framed

From our recent trip to Montreal. Shot on 35mm, but I decided it really needed the square crop. I am a sucker for inner framing.

Fences and Friends

I was out recently and saw this mural with the scaffolding in front of it and it looked to me like two friends reuniting with a fence in-between them. And it reminded me of how today we have some many people obsessed with fences and walls.

Rotting

At the front entrance of the Halton Country Rail Museum are three pretty decrepit busses, waiting for restoration. One was open, so we checked it out. The exterior of the bus can be seen in my second image.

The Subway Tunnel of Memory

Two more images from the rail museum in Halton. In one of the barns they have two old TTC subway cars. I remember riding these models when I first came to Toronto in the early 1980’s. Now they live on in a permanent twilight. Weird, and a bit sad to see them empty.

Riding the Old Streetcar

Yesterday I was at the Halton County Railway Museum, which has a fascinating collection of old transit vehicles. It was fun riding on an old Peter Witt model streetcar!
