A New Year

It was a bright but chilly morning here in Toronto on January 1st. I was out with photography friends on a walk that included the University of Toronto campus. I liked the look of the clouds and the steam from the smokestack.

Store Windows

Last Sunday morning I was out in Little India here in Toronto. The light was soft and on the grey side, but I liked what it was doing for metal and glass, so I focussed on close-up images, mainly in store windows. I was shooting mostly wide open, and often dirty and/or scratched window glass gave me an effect I like.

For all images I used my Sony a6100 and TTArtisan 35mm f/1.4 lens.

Storefront Reflections

I went downtown here in Toronto early yesterday morning; it was on the chilly side. This image of a storefront on Yonge street, filled with reflections as well turned out to be my favourite. I like the double exposure feel.

Morning Flowers

Two more flower images taken this past weekend in Niagara-On-the-Lake here in Ontario. I love the colours!

Both images were made with my Sony a6100 body, and TTArtisan 35mm f/1.4; a lens that is getting a lot of use lately!

Old City Hall

I have lived in Toronto since the early 1980’s and I have never really been inside the old city hall. That was rectified yesterday morning.
