Sunny days have been rare this spring in Toronto. Yesterday was an exception, and I liked the hard shadows the sun was throwing on the Financial District in downtown Toronto.

The New Eglinton LRT (Line 5) in Toronto
It was fun shooting something new in Toronto yesterday. The Wednesday gang went to check out the Eglinton LRT transit line which opened this week.

Three Days After the Storm
It has been three days since the big storm in Toronto.
I was downtown in the Dundas and Spadina area this morning. Lots of sun, and lots of snow, as the clean up continues.

Wide Angle Blur
Out in High Park, Toronto this morning with my Sony a6100 and 7Artisans 10mm f/3.5 lens. I discovered that if I shoot wide open at the absolute closest focussing distance I get a background blur that I wouldn’t normally associate with a super-wide lens. I like the look.
Back to the Beaches
Yes I like a red filter effect equivalent in post!

When Plans Change
I could not go on my Wednesday outing this week, as life got in the way, but later in the day I did get out to Winslow Park here in Toronto.

Spadina House
Yesterday I was in Spadina House, an Edwardian era mansion in Toronto, now open as a museum. Fascinating interiors! Even in the context of a guided tour, with a wide lens like my Ziltrox 20mm f/2.8 on my Sony a7ii body, there are lots of possibilities for images!
Given that the mansion is presented as a snapshot in time, I wanted my images to be black and white.
Downtown Early Again
I was near Union Station in Toronto around 6:40 this morning. Lovely early morning sun, and I couldn’t help accentuating in in post. Two images of the same building, both with some perspective distortion.

Old City Hall
I have lived in Toronto since the early 1980’s and I have never really been inside the old city hall. That was rectified yesterday morning.
Reflections
I was downtown here in Toronto yesterday for the Classic Camera Revival Podcast 10 year anniversary photo walk. I was shooting again with my vintage Soviet-era Industar 61 L/D 55mm f/2.8 lens. I love how this lens is very sharp, but still renders in a pleasing way. This scene of reflections caught my eye.
