Empty Spaces

I have always been drawn to spaces meant for crowds when there aren’t a lot of people around. At certain points during the day this hall in Union Station in Toronto would be much busier.

Chairs and Water

Today another image of chairs by the water at the Toronto Beaches. Widely scattered, they seemed like sentinals, watching for the coming summer on a rather cool spring day.

Complicated

I love complicated trees; they have so many stories to tell.

Flowers on a Bike

There are a few of these bicycle/flower combos on Queen Street in the Beaches: an ad for a local business. In colour they are a cheery yellow, but I like the look of black and white on a cloudy day.

Testing a Film Back

While I love my Hasselblad 500C/M, I have had issues with film backs for it: I ended up buying a “new” to me film back which arrived while I was out of town. I went out for a quick test shoot yesterday morning at Todmorden Mills, and happily the back is working OK 🙂

Ravine Path

Two more from Glen Stewart Park in the Beaches. I will have to return to this location at various times in the spring and summer as the view changes. Both images taken with Hasselblad 500C/M, 50mm/4 Distagon lens on TMax 100 film. Toned in post

Didn’t Wait

When out last Saturday in the ravine near the Beaches I was waiting to take a photograph of the fence line, waiting for the boy to get out of frame as he walked by, but it looked interesting with him in frame, so I snapped the shutter.
