In Shop Windows

I was out yesterday morning on Danforth Avenue in the bright sunshine, and saw various things of interest in shop windows. all images taken with my Sony a6100 and an 80mm lens.

In the Spotlight

I was working on macro photography this morning, and one of the props I was using was a maple leaf I had preserved from last fall. I was playing around with lighting, and this look made me feel like Canada was alone in a harsh spotlight, facing the adversary that the U.S. under Trump has become.

Experimental Portrait

This morning as an experiment I tried an ICM (intentional camera movement) portrait of my friend Ori. The exposure was 0.8 seconds and I moved the camera in my hands. I quite like the results!

A New Year

It was a bright but chilly morning here in Toronto on January 1st. I was out with photography friends on a walk that included the University of Toronto campus. I liked the look of the clouds and the steam from the smokestack.

Seed Macro

I collected this sample of a burr/seed a few weeks ago, and finally got around to doing a macro shot of it this morning.
