Tree Light

It was a beautiful spring day at High Park in Toronto yesterday, and there is one spot where the combination of the species of tree and the angle of the morning sun made for some great light.

Last of the Water Treatment Plant Series

One more of the water plant in the Beaches. I am really happy with how even without a filter, using Rollei Retro 80s film I can get contrast between sky and clouds.

Shrine?

Another image from the water treatment plant in the Beaches. To me it looked like a shrine.

Cat and Mouse With The Light

On Saturday morning this past weekend I back in the Beaches, “playing cat and mouse with the light” as I described it in a Facebook post. The light changed moment by moment, from mundane to magical and back again. This was one of the better moments 🙂

On Top of the Cathedral Bluffs

For some reason, I’ve never shot on top of the Scarborough Bluffs before; I went for the first time on Saturday morning to Cathedral Bluff, with my Mamiya RZ67 and 65mm/3.8 wide-angle lens and Rollei Retro 80s film. I’ll definitely be back!

Last Post for 2015

It’s been an interesting year: my photography exhibit and the trip to Scotland were amazing highlights; the back problems not so much. For my last image of the year, I go back to the Beaches for an image created this past summer. Tomorrow it’s January 1st, so in the morning I will be going out somewhere to do some photography, as this has become my New Year’s Day tradition. Happy New Year!

Complicated Light

Another image from my walk around the University of Toronto campus on Sunday morning. This is a doorway at Trinity College. I loved the dappled, complicated light I was seeing that morning!
