I normally tend to black and white imagery, but this morning the intense blues and oranges of the crosswalk at about 6:45 am really struck me. Also, there was no traffic so I was able to stand in the middle of the road to quickly get the shot with my iPhone.
I was at Hart House at the University of Toronto this morning, and found this long table.
I was walking on the street last night and saw some interesting lighting in a closed hair salon, so out came the iPhone!
It’s been over a year. I have been posting images elsewhere, but as so many corporate services like Facebook become increasingly problematic, I need to revitalize my photo blog, so expect much more frequent image posting!
There hasn’t been a lot of rain recently in East York, Ontario, until the last few days. But this past Sunday was different. Rain overnight, plus some drizzle in the morning made for some interesting droplets. I shot with my iPhone 13, as it is pretty resistant to moisture.
In a city of expensive real estate, resulting in a housing crisis for many, I am surprised this ramshackle house is still in its present condition. It looks like it could tell a story to two!
Recently I was out with my Wednesday photowalk friends and we ran across a kayak rental on the Humber River here in Toronto. I loved the look of the kayaks stored together, like puzzle pieces.
I was outside the Art Gallery of Ontario recently, and saw some interesting reflections. I took a few images with my iPhone and straightened the perspective to some degree. But I do like the crooked look.
I do shoot digital as well as film, and also like shooting with my iPhone! (I am no purist!!). And on the iPhone I do enjoy the Tintype app, among others. I took this image near Tobermory earlier this year.
The last part of my vacation is at a friend’s cottage near Bracebridge. It’s an amazing building, filled with great spots for portraiture.
