I am continuing to have fun with the combination of my close to six decades old Helios lens and my only a few years old Sony A7ii digital body. This image is from the Beaches this past Sunday. I managed to capture some of the background swirl this lens is known for.
Leaves that changed too soon, but still had a glorious blaze. Recent events are imposing a symbolism over everything for me recently.

In my first fall colours post yesterday I used the word “defiance” describing the bright leaves still on the tree. The three images today are more about the leaves that have already fallen, covering the ground in colour, but dead and resigned. All three images created with my Hasselblad 500C/M and 50mm/4 Distagon lens, using Kodak Ektar 100 film.
Fall colours are a dazzle of blazing defiance, before the long, quiet sleep.
