Last weekend was “Doors Open” in Toronto. Many buildings opened their doors to visitors, and I one of the places I checked out was Beach United in the Beaches. I was using my Sony A7ii and 15mm Voiglander super wide angle lens.

R.C. Harris in Colour
Two more images from Doors Open at the R.C. Harris plant, this time in colour. Porta 800 was the ideal film to shoot colour handheld with the Hasselblad and 50mm/4 Distagon lens at a fast enough shutter speed to not need a tripod.

Echoes of Power
Today’s image is another one from my Doors Open excursion last weekend. This is a meeting room from the Edwardian office building at 10 Adelaide (Canadian Heritage Centre). The room was empty, but still I felt echoes of authority.

Old Technology
This past weekend at Doors Open Toronto 2014, one of the buildings I visited was the fascinating Coach House Books, a Toronto printing house that values traditional methods. One of the more interesting pieces of gear is the Heidelberg Offset press. Like me in many respects: Big, bulky, and dating from the 1960’s 🙂
