I am a naughty boy; I always seem to omit posting links to the film photography podcast I am part of, so here is the link to the latest episode of Classic Camera Revival! This time around we are discussing scale focus cameras.

From a December 31st, 2018 outing with fellow Classic Camera Revival hosts Bill Smith and Alex Luyckx.
It was a dull day lightwise, but still a fun way to wrap up the year.

Seen on the trip back from Muskoka a few weeks ago. The dead tree and the derelict building seemed like the perfect combination.

Be sure to check out the latest episode of the Classic Camera Revival Podcast; this time around we talk about taking studio cameras out into the field. Also check out my own show MPP (My Photography Podcast). This week I am talking to Canadian Photographer Avard Woolaver about his photography of Toronto in the 1980’s.
Today a portrait of my friend and fellow podcaster Mike, taken in a pub using my Pentax ME 35mm camera. I haven’t used this camera much recently but got it out for the April episode of the Classic Camera Revival podcast, where Pentax was the topic of the day. The lens was a 50mm/1.7 and I was shooting wide-open on Tri-X film.
The first of a few images from a roll of Kodak Portra 400 I shot with my Rolleiflex 3.5E3 at Toronto Harbor recently.
Also, the latest episode of Classic Camera Revival is now online. We have a great discussion about folding cameras.
Yesterday the Classic Camera Revival Podcast (of which I am one of hosts) held a film photography meet-up in Hamilton, Ontario. G.A.S. stands for “Gear Acquisition Syndrome” the desire for film shooters to always get one more piece of gear. 🙂 I took this portrait of one of the attendees with my Kodak Medalist 620 camera, using respooled Ilford HP5+ film, developed in Ilfosol 3.
The artist this time around is my good friend Alex Luijckx, one of the key drivers of the Toronto film shooter community, and founder/co-host of the Classic Camera Revival podcast. (I am also one of the hosts of this show.)
This portrait was taken at a film shooter community gathering last weekend. Alex is shooting his Nikon F5.
