The Lift Lock in Peterborough

Some images of the Lift Lock in Peterborough Ontario, taken during the recent Toronto Film Shooters and Kingston Film shooters joint outing. All images taken with my Voigtlander Bessa R2M camera, 15mm/f4.5 Superwide Heliar lens with red filter, on Rollei Retro 80 Acros film

Down and Up the Stairs

Not far from where we live is Todmorden Mills, an historic site which to me has the added significance of being the location of our older daughter’s upcoming marriage at the end of the month. These images are two views of the same set of stairs, going down and coming up.

City Hall

It’s always a good exercise to try to find a different perspective on a subject that’s been done to death. Not sure if I succeeded.

Framing

I love this old railway bridge in the lower Don Valley here in Toronto. There has been a lot of rain this spring so there is lush vegetation everywhere, and I like the internal framing effect in this image.

Finally!

The Flatiron building in Toronto is one of the most photographed buildings in the city, but I don’t think I’ve ever taken an image of it that I really liked, until now …

Since I was point the 15mm/f4.5 Superwide Heliar up in the air, I got lots of distortion, but I like how it worked out.
