What Was the Story?

From the recent film shooters meet-up in Toronto. Trying to remember why he closed his eyes at that moment.

Horizontal Lines

The recent high water at the Beaches has really caught my eye in terms of lines, especially horizontal. These four images were taken yesterday with my Voigtlander Bessa R2M and 50mm/f2 Heliar lens on Kodak TMax 400 film.

Cursing in the Dark

This image from High Park, Toronto last weekend was taken on Svema Foto 100 film; this film has a great look but its very thing and flexible polyester base makes it among the most challenging to get loaded onto a film reel for developing. Much cursing in the dark resulted.

Experimenting With Minimalism

Back to the flooded chairs at the Beaches in Toronto. I was experimenting with minimalism; to me this photograph is about what isn’t in the image, just as much as what is in the image.

Tree Torsos

To me, these trees that had to be cut down (I think perhaps because of beetles?) look like pieces of old statues one would find among ruins.
