The bright lights at the Christmas Market overwhelmed the exposure (I knew I would happen) but I like the effect.

There is a song by The Rankin Family called The Fisherman’s Son, that contains the line: “I stared at the bright lights the dark city ways” and that line comes to mind when I look at this image of King street in the Theatre District at night recently.

I have decided to start a still life project this week. Not bowls of fruit and bottles of wine (not that there is anything wrong with those as subjects of course!) But objects I find interesting. This is a manual drill that belonged to my late father-in-law, who could make or repair anything.
