This past weekend I was in Niagara-On-the-Lake having a short winter break. I have shot this town many times during the summer, but never in winter.

I was out recently with my Nikon F5; the morning had started off rather dark and dull, and I had high speed film (Cinestill 800T) loaded. Then things got rather bright and sunny. I saw this scene and in order to get the shallow depth of field I wanted I had to use a shutter speed of 1/8000 of second!

A couple of weeks ago I was out shooting with my friend Jo-Anne downtown. She was testing an Olympus Trip 35 she got from her parents. After decades of non-use it worked perfectly. There’s a reason it’s considered a classic :-).
I was shooting with my trusty Voigtlander Bessa R2M and 35mm/f1.7 Ultron combo. Hard to beat!

It was a dull day lightwise, but still a fun way to wrap up the year.
