Today, two more ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) portraits, both taken at the same meetup at the Only Cafe In Toronto.

Another Snowy Day in Toronto
Out today with friends in the snow here in Toronto. I pointed my iPhone down one alley and came up with this image.

Experimental Portrait
This morning as an experiment I tried an ICM (intentional camera movement) portrait of my friend Ori. The exposure was 0.8 seconds and I moved the camera in my hands. I quite like the results!
Hand Tinting Revisited
I am getting back into hand tinting, but using a digital workflow. Using an iPad, the Procreate app, and an Apple Pencil, I find the process of laying down digital “pigment” and then thinning it out to get the desired level of transparency to be very reminiscent of how I used to do it with darkroom prints and photo oils.

A New Year
It was a bright but chilly morning here in Toronto on January 1st. I was out with photography friends on a walk that included the University of Toronto campus. I liked the look of the clouds and the steam from the smokestack.

Inside the Royal York Hotel, Toronto
Christmas is often all about colour, but these images of the interior of the Royal York Hotel decked out for Christmas felt better in black and white. Like glittering snow at night.
