A Ravine of Shadows
A number of weeks ago, I went to check out Williamson Park Ravine in East Toronto not far from where I live. It was an amazing location; a very dense canopy of trees made for gloomy shadows through which the sunlight only occasionally shone.

Run Away With Me
I saw this graffiti on a disused, derelict railroad track in Toronto’s Don Valley. I would love to know the story behind it. How did the story end, or did the story even have a beginning? Perhaps it was nothing more than a shy dream, never to be spoken out loud.

Love locks capture a moment in time. I look at them and wonder how the stories they tell evolved. Was the permanence an illusion?

A Wash of Colour
It has been a while; let’s just say the summer has been challenging, and some things have suffered as a result, like my photo blog. I will try to do better.
I was out this afternoon with a lens I have not used in a while: my Lensbaby Sweet35. I love its primitive characteristics, and the way colour seems to wash through the image.
Enjoying My New (to me) Canon F-1n
I am really liking the Canon F-1n I got recently. This was the camera I lusted after as a teen in the 1970’s. Using my 200mm/f4 FD S.S.C. lens. Film was Fomapan 100.
Back to the Distillery District
I haven’t been to Toronto’s Distillery District for around a year or so, because of COVID. That changed late last week when I went down early on a sunny morning, with my OM-1 kit and some Fomapan 100.
Loving the Swirl
I was in the Beaches again this past weekend, and my lens of choice was my 58mm/f2 Helios 44/2. I love the overall look and swirl of this lens when used wide open!
