One more image of the Beaches last Saturday, but this one created using my iPhone and the Hipstamatic app. While most of my posts will continue to be film-based, I will likely continue to post more iPhone-created images. At the end of the day, it’s about the image, not the gear.
The View
The light down at the Beaches yesterday morning was incredible, as was the scene. Very cold, but dead calm, allowing the gathering of mist on the water. This man was excited by the scene, as he raced from spot to spot capturing the moment on his smartphone. Different gear, but a kindred spirit.

Texture and Sharpness
This image is from a visit to High Park in the fall of 2015. The combination of the Rollei RPX 25 film, Rodinal developer and the Zeiss Sonnar 50mm/1.5 lens mounted on my Contax IIIa made for very good sharpness, I love these slow speed films! (I left the sprockets etc. in the scan because I liked the way it looks 🙂 ).

The Track
This past Saturday I met up with my fellow hosts of the Classic Camera Revival podcast to record future episodes and go for a photo walk. We met up in Milton, which has this great park downtown, including a no longer used, but preserved stretch of rail.
