When Plans Change

I could not go on my Wednesday outing this week, as life got in the way, but later in the day I did get out to Winslow Park here in Toronto.

Both images taken with my Sony a6100 body and 7Artisans 10mm f/3.5 lens.

A Different View

Back to the Beaches yesterday, and another flower picture but a different view. IT’s a sunflower, but not taken from the usual head on angle.

Biidaasige Park

There is a new park in the Portlands in Toronto, and recently I went down erly in the morning to check it out. In the first image I was able to get a new angle on one of the new bridges. I reminds me of a retro-future look, like the Thunderbirds show from the 1960’s.

The second image catches the morning haze.

Both images taken with my Sony a6100.

Morning Flowers

Two more flower images taken this past weekend in Niagara-On-the-Lake here in Ontario. I love the colours!

Both images were made with my Sony a6100 body, and TTArtisan 35mm f/1.4; a lens that is getting a lot of use lately!

Spadina House

Yesterday I was in Spadina House, an Edwardian era mansion in Toronto, now open as a museum. Fascinating interiors! Even in the context of a guided tour, with a wide lens like my Ziltrox 20mm f/2.8 on my Sony a7ii body, there are lots of possibilities for images!

Given that the mansion is presented as a snapshot in time, I wanted my images to be black and white.

Water Bottles

It’s been a hot summer in Toronto, so everywhere you go, water bottles are important. I saw these bottles in a local coffee shop (The Only Cafe), and thought they would look nice with a pictorial treatment.

Flowers Behind Glass

I was out yesterday morning with my over 60 yr old Jupiter-8 lens (50mm f/2) mounted on my Sony a7ii, and saw this vase of flowers in a store window, painted by the morning light.

I love how this old lens renders flowers!

Patterns

Downtown a few days ago on a morning that became sunny after a brief rain. Plenty of rental bikes, and I like the patterned look they presented.

All images were created with my Sony a7ii body, and an old Soviet-era Jupiter 8 50mm lens, mounted via an adapter.

Downtown Early Again

I was near Union Station in Toronto around 6:40 this morning. Lovely early morning sun, and I couldn’t help accentuating in in post. Two images of the same building, both with some perspective distortion.
Both images taken with Sony a6100 body and 7Artisans 10mm f/3.5 lens.

It’s a Canadian Thing

By the shores of Lake Ontario here in Toronto this morning, around 6:40 am. I saw this Canadian flag, surrounded by Canada Geese, facing south.

Nice to see scenes like this one these days.
