Tree Torsos

To me, these trees that had to be cut down (I think perhaps because of beetles?) look like pieces of old statues one would find among ruins.

Empty Spaces

I have always been drawn to spaces meant for crowds when there aren’t a lot of people around. At certain points during the day this hall in Union Station in Toronto would be much busier.

Chairs and Water

Today another image of chairs by the water at the Toronto Beaches. Widely scattered, they seemed like sentinals, watching for the coming summer on a rather cool spring day.

Toronto in Colour

This image is from the first roll of colour film I’ve developed at home in quite a while. The ice rink at Nathan Phillips Square is long gone, but the water for the summer has not been topped up, so this in-between time made for some great reflections.

Building in Sunlight

I like the look of buildings in bright morning sunlight: angles and edges look especially sharp and defined. This is Metropolitan United Church in downtown Toronto.
