Saw this person on the subway this morning: apart from the Christmas hat, she just sat there, no expression, no sense of the season. Weird.

Face as Biography
I love looking at the people on the TTC (and since I have a one hour plus commute to work each day, I have plenty of time to look!).
Today’s image was taken on Sunday morning on the TTC. It’s been awhile since I have seen so much of the pain and weariness that life holds for some people etched on a person’s face.
Connection
I took this image on the subway on a trip downtown this afternoon. I was struck by the fact that they were sharing music via one headphone jack, but apart from that they were both in their own worlds: no words, glances etc. were exchanged until it was time to get off the train. Mysterious and intriguing!
Accuracy
This week I am in Scottsdale, Arizona and it is hot even for this time of year: over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, 40 C every day. Today’s image is the view I get when I step out of my hotel room, captured on my iPhone using the Hipstamatic app and “infrared” film. The “wrong” colours actually capture the feeling of being in this spot better than accurate colour rendition ever would.
A Tiny Camera
This is a photograph of a Mycro “HIT” camera, a novelty item produced in post-war Japan. (I took this image with my iPhone, and processed it using the Photocopier App).
I suppose I could try to find (or cut down) film for it just for a lark sometime. As it is, it wins just for the “Cute” factor.
