One more image of the Beaches last Saturday, but this one created using my iPhone and the Hipstamatic app. While most of my posts will continue to be film-based, I will likely continue to post more iPhone-created images. At the end of the day, it’s about the image, not the gear.

Banff 4: Black and White versus Colour
When I was in Banff in terms of film I was shooting black and white, not colour; the only colour images I shot were with my iPhone, so here is a comparison of almost the exact same image, one taken with my Rolleiflex, the other with my iPhone. I know colour is more popular these days, but there is still something about black and white that makes it my “mother tongue” as far as photography is concerned.
Lend Me a Tenor
Last night I had fun doing photography at the dress rehearsal of the Alexander Showcase Theatre’s production of Lend Me a Tenor. This fast-paced comedy kept me really busy! I highly recommend this show — it is a lot of fun!
The Bridge of a Grey Day
In Milton, Ontario today, meeting up for a photo walk and to record the next two episodes of the Classic Camera Revival podcast, I decided to shoot a few iPhone Hipstamatic shots as well. Happy with what I got 🙂

A Different Space
While walking in Edinburgh, we passed by what appeared to be a playing field. After seeing hills of rock and natural ground cover, seeing this perfectly flat space covered by artificial turf seemed almost surrealistic, and an infrared treatment seemed appropriate.
