Quarry Lake Park in Colour

I am still primarily and black and white shooter, but when I was in Quarry Lake Park in Canmore recently I was happy to have had a roll of Kodak Ektar 100 colour film with me. It was the perfect morning for it.

Forty-One Years Ago

Every now and then I get reminded of the passage of time. I recently ran across these old slides of flowers in my mother’s garden that I shot as a 15 year old in the summer of 1977. I had just gotten my first SLR, my Yashica TL-Electro (which I still have!) a few months prior. This was my first time shooting colour slide film, some private label pre-rolled Ektachrome. The lens was the Yashinon 50mm f1.9, using extension tubes for close focus.

Reflections

I made today’s image with a Smartphone in my home office. I have an old Graflex flash gun that I held in one hand and I shot the image with the other hand. I like how the reflections turned out!

The Ravine in Colour

Recently I have posted a number of images taken in the Glen Stewart Ravine in the Beaches areas of Toronto. Today, a colour image. The day I took this was a brief interval between rain showers, and there was quite a sense of lushness, despite the fact of it being the fall.
