iPhone “Tintype” Portraits
Ya, I know they aren’t real wet plate tintypes. But it’s still fun. Both portraits taken with iPhone 13 Pro Max, using Tintype app.
Under a Bridge
I am really enjoying using Flic Film‘s Black, White & Green Developer. Environmentally friendly, economical and I love the results. This is from under a bridge in Toronto. The HP5 Plus film was pushed one stop but the grain still looks good.

It was fun meeting up with Alex, along with her husband Alan who is a good friend of mine and has also appeared in the Only Cafe Portrait Series himself. Als always for this project I used my Sony A7ii camera and vintage Helios 44 lens.
Storefront in the Junction
This storefront in the Junction neighbourhood in Toronto caught my eye.
Paris (Ontario)
This town in Ontario won’t get as much press as the Paris in France, but is still worth visiting! I was out there earlier this year with some photography friends and had a lovely day.
I took all of these images with my Olympus OM-2n with a 25A red filter, on Rollei Retro 80s film.
A Hazy Day at Bluffer’s Park
This past Wednesday I was out at Bluffer’s Park with photography friends. It was a very calm day at the lake, with a very hazy bright sky.
Withrow Park, Toronto
In a park not far from home, in May of this year. I shot both images with my Rolleiflex 3.5E3 camera on Ilford Delta 400 film.
Mottled Sunlight
Earlier this year I was in downtown Toronto on Front Street with my Sony A7ii camera. At the right time of day, and bright sunlight you can get some interesting building reflections. I lined up the sun behind the construction crane, and added the equivalent of a dark red filter in post.
