BCE Place

The interior of BCE Place in downtown Toronto is photographed so often that it is difficult to avoid the cliched images that have been taken so often. In this image I tried changing the angle to get the building within the building.

Back In Time #2

Continuing yesterday’s theme, another mystery roll I developed for the Facebook challenge was an even bigger surprise: it contained images of Pestum, Italy from a trip almost five years ago. I had shot multiple rolls there and this one I guess just got missed. What a thrill when I pulled it out of the tank! All images taken with a Mamiya M645j (since sold) on Fuji Neopan Acros 100 film

Last of the Water Treatment Plant Series

One more of the water plant in the Beaches. I am really happy with how even without a filter, using Rollei Retro 80s film I can get contrast between sky and clouds.

Shrine?

Another image from the water treatment plant in the Beaches. To me it looked like a shrine.

Sky Window

Another just developed slide image from my visit with Michelle and friends in Quebec last summer. IT was a brilliantly bright day, and in this window the sky looked so blue, and I loved the way the reflection was set off by the red window frame.

Back to the Gazebo

I’ve shot this Gazebo in the Beaches a lot, so it seemed logical to shoot it with my newly acquired Hasselblad 500 c/m and 80mm lens. I shot on Rollei RPX film, developed in Rodinal. I LOVE this combo of film, lens and developer!

Facade

There is an interesting structure on the Ryerson campus in Toronto: a green house, hiding behind the facade of a muhc older building. I will definitely need to go back and shoot some more when I have more time.

Formalism is Where You Find It

Last Saturday in Milton I was struck by the geometric patterns of the pipes etc. on this wall, with the bright sunlight and contrasty film throwing them into stark relief.
