As part of my gear rationalization project I traded away my Voigtlander 15mm/4.5 (not without some regret) and as part of the deal got a Nikkor AI-S 20mm/2.8 lens in return. It arrived this week and I had a chance to put it through its paces this morning. I think this lens and I well get along fine. 🙂

I had never gotten around to shooting this arch before; I will have to go back and try a few different angles with it. I suspect the perfect angle would involve me standing the the middle of a busy intersection. Not safe in this city.

My new (to me) Nikon F4 body arrived this week, so I now have one to replace the one that was stolen. I went out yesterday, despite the gloomy light to shoot a test roll. I did’t have any 400 speed film so I shot a roll of Svema Foto 100, which made for some very slow shutter speeds handheld, but thankfully wide-angle lenses such as the Tamron SP 17mm/3.5 I was shooting are more forgiving. 🙂
