It was a bright (if cold) Sunday morning this past weekend, so I decided to go to High Park (and take the entrance near the Keele subway station). I had a couple of cameras with me; this image was taken with an old Pentax Spotmatic, with a 50mm/2.8 Carl Zeiss Jena lens mounted. I love the look of the images from this lens! Autumn
In my opinion, Kodak Ektar 100 colour negative film was made for autumn; there is just something about the colours. This image was taken a couple of weeks ago in High Park with my Canon P rangefinder and 35mm/2.5 Voigtlander Color Skopar lens. I developed it at home with C-41 chemistry from Argentix.ca

Complicated Light
Another image from my walk around the University of Toronto campus on Sunday morning. This is a doorway at Trinity College. I loved the dappled, complicated light I was seeing that morning!

Sharp Light
Yesterday afternoon was a lovely sunny fall day, with a low sun that created interesting hard-edged shadows with a lot of crispness It would have made outdoors portraiture tough, but for what I was shooting at the University of Toronto campus it was perfect.

End of Season
This image was created in Taylor Creek Park, no far from where we live in East York. For much of the last few days it has been warm and sunny, but it is still autumn.

In the Library
Here is another image from the recent Film Photography Podcast Meet-up in Ann Arbor. Thanks again to our tour guide Heather Gardner for taking us on a photowalk that included a fascinating college campus, including this impressive library. I had barely enough light to shoot handheld (1/15th of a second).

No Direction Home
The first of a couple more images from my Canon P rangefinder with my Voigtlander 35mm/2.5 Color Skopar lens. While I was in the Lower Don Valley about 10 days ago a homeless person was walking in the same direction. Shooting him from the back felt like the better thing to do.
