Yesterday morning I was out with friends in the WIlliamson Park Ravine in the eastern part of Toronto. The tree canopy is quite dense here, but sunlight will poke through the shadows creating an almost spotlight effect. All images taken with my Sony a7ii body and an old Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 lens.

The new north building at the St. Lawrence Market is crammed and busy on the weekends. But in the middle of the week it is quiet.
One of the lenses I took to Bon Echo Park here in Ontario last weekend was my Lomography 55mm f/1.7 Mark II Petzval.
I had a kind of image in mind, and the distortions inherent in the Petzval lens, plus added deep vignette gave me what I was looking for.
Last weekend was “Doors Open” in Toronto. Many buildings opened their doors to visitors, and I one of the places I checked out was Beach United in the Beaches. I was using my Sony A7ii and 15mm Voiglander super wide angle lens.
It was quite cloudy last Wednesday, but that kind of light is great for flower images. Both images taken with my Sony A7ii and 28-75mm f/2.8 Tamron lens.
Yesterday morning I was out for my usual Wednesday Gang photo walk. I got a couple of portraits I really like: one of a stranger in a coffee shop, the other one of the other photographers on the walk. Very different images but they both work for me.

It’s the time when dandelions in Toronto start going to seed. This is the view of one, looking down from above.
I met up with my friend Yuri this morning. He is an amazing photographer who can find something interesting in any setting.
The area around Kipling Avenue in Toronto is not the prettiest, but that is where I was yesterday, and did find one spot that wasn’t dreary, and of course it was a flower macro.
