I was at Bluffer’s Beach last weekend, and to my eyes this tangled mess looked like a spider.

While looking for something else in my darkroom I came across something I didn’t know I had: a roll of Kodak Panatomic X film from the 1980’s obviously long-expired. Slow speed films tend to be usable long after their expiry dates so I gave it a shot. There was some staining on the negatives but with some work in post I got some usable images, like these two.
During the trip to Muskoka we hiked the Solitaire Trail in Limberlost. A lovely trail it is, full of interesting trees. Some of my favourites are in these three images, all taken with my Voigtlander Bessa R2M camera and 35mm/f1.7 Ultron lens, on Kodak TMax 400 film
On the way to Muskoka recently my friend Bill and I stopped by the side of the road to photograph this scene. I was a challenge to work around a sagging power line in the middle of the frame. I shot this with my Hasseblad (square format), and in post decided to crop it as shown, and I quite like the way it turned out in the end.
