I used Rodinal at a dilution of 1 part Rodinal to 100 parts water. Temperature was 20 C. I used 500 ml of water to ensure 5 ml of Rodinal was used. I gently agitated for the first 60 seconds of development, then every 30 minutes I gently inverted the development tank once. Hope this helps!
There are a lot of variables at play. I think the stand approach, being inherently compensating, might help ease the contrast a bit (but high contrast is just part of pushing / night shots)
